What OCL Group is Hiring for:

Quality Control Level 2 Inspectors 

Location: Northern Interior and Southern Interior British Columbia. 

Pay: Competitive

Position: Full time

Responsibilities:

  • Develop discipline ITPs and ensure stages followed.
  • Pipe spool fabrication inspection.
  • Read piping isometrics, GA's and PID's.
  • Material receiving inspection and verification.
  • Maintaining welder qualification record.
  • Monitoring welding and carrying out final weld visual inspection.
  • Coordinate, monitor and Review NDT and reporting.
  • Verifying all NDT completion releasing the piping for hydro test.
  • Final piping reinstatement inspection and witnessing applicable bolt torque.
  • Experience with weld mapping and as-built drawings.
  • Flange face inspection.
  • Hydrotest package review and test witnessing.
  • Insulation installation monitoring and inspection.
  • Turnover binder progressive development, review and completion.
  • Compensation/Benefits

    Working Conditions

    • 6 days on, 1 day off
    • 60 hours per week. Most shifts start at 7:00 am but hours may vary based on site requirements.
    • Overtime and work on weekends as required
    • One paid 30-minute break and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break per day
    • Drug and alcohol test required

    Certificates & Licences

    • CWB Level 2 certification with 5+ years of experience.

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Strong time management skills and ability to handle a multitude of concurrent tasks.
    • Good computer skills, especially in the use of MS Office and Google Docs.
    • Self-motivated, organized and able to work in a high-pressure deadline driven environment.
    • Understands Quality Inspection Procedures, Tools and Equipment.
    • Knowledge of Z662 code

    Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to climb scaffolding, access trenches 
    • Work in variable weather conditions.

    Pre-employment

    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
