Industrial Electrician

Location: Orangeville, ON

Salary: $39.00 per hour

Position: Full time

Responsible 

• Daily maintenance of all mechanical equipment in the plant, and ensuring all preventative maintenance is completed, resolving unplanned equipment downtime issues and supporting ongoing continuous improvement projects, 
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate test instruments and circuit diagrams, 
• Maintain and repair electrical/electronic/electromechanical systems, follow all safety precautions and procedures, ensure that all equipment is safe before releasing to production and 
• Perform all electrical Preventative Maintenance related inspections, records results and reports results as per procedures.

Qualifications 

• Vocational/Technical Certification - Certified Industrial Electrician (442A Certified)

• A minimum of 3-5 years of North American experience in maintenance role or skilled trade working in a highly automated, high-volume manufacturing environment

• Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance

• Forklift experience would be an asset

• Extensive experience reading and interpreting electrical and electronic control schematics

• Troubleshooting skills with ability to repair and maintain equipment and machinery
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Must be highly motivated with self discipline
  

• Ability to perform hands on maintenance duties, including bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting/carrying heavy objects

• Intermediate to Expert knowledge of PLC programming and Robotics
  
• Knowledge of electrical code of Ontario.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Must be available to work rotating shifts, overtime or on call as required
• Must be able to work independently and as a team player
• Call in Pay – OT with min 4 hour pay

• 12 hour continental shift, days only, 7am - 7pm
• 84 hours biweekly
