QC Welding Inspector 

Position: Temporary  

Location: Calgary, AB

Pay: Competitive

Position: Full-time

Shift: 

• 5/2 
• Monday to Friday

Job Details

• Conduct inspection of individual scope of work in progress and at completion.
• Coordinate, compile, and file all documents from various projects.
• Ensure timely completion of all Quality Control program requirements.
• Execute inspection and signoff of projects as per the Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
• Verify fabrication is completed as per CSA 47.1/W59-13.
• Comply with PTW Health and Safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

Experience  

• Welder and/or Fitter with a minimum of 5 years' experience. Journeyperson ticket is an asset.

Certificates & Licenses

• A Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certified Supervisor or CWB welding ticket is an asset.

Knowledge & Skills

• Conversant knowledge of CWB requirements.
• Familiar with NDE test procedures (MT/UT/RT/LP).
• Knowledge of Quality Control procedures, record-keeping, and systems.
• Intermediate computer skills, specifically with MS Office.
• Ability to provide accuracy and detail in assimilation of project details and reports.
• Efficient organizational skills and ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work effectively with team members and be independent when completing tasks.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly.
• Initiative and proactive problem-solving skills.
