Project Hiring in Chester, South Carolina (New Build) $28-$35/hr & $945 Weekly Per Diem

ITAC, a leading engineering and construction firm, is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining pipes for various projects. Starting around May 1st (+/- 1 week) depending on first delivery and continuing manpower ramp-up through July.

Ending: Mid January 2025

Must clear Background check and Drug Test prior to taking weld/fitter test. 

Welder and Fitter test will be given in Lexington, SC.

6-10's, Per Diem $135 x 7.

Welders $35 hr

Fitters: $28hr - $33hr D.O.E and Fitter Test Results

Weld Test:2" Sch 160 CS, GTAW, 6G, RT6" Sch 40 CS 6010 Root 7018 Out, 6G, RT

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan pipe layouts.
• Cut, bend, and weld pipes according to specifications.
• Install pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for commercial and industrial projects.
• Inspect and test installed pipes and systems to identify leaks and ensure functionality.
• Collaborate with other construction workers to complete projects on time.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
• Cut, thread, and hammer pipes to specifications using various tools.

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of pipe fitting experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• MUST be able to pass weld test
• MUST be able to pass a fitter test
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Proficient in the use of various hand and power tools.
• Strong knowledge of pipe materials, installation techniques, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
• This position is located in Chester SC from May 2024 through January 2025
