Machine Operators

Location: Poway (San Diego, CA area)

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Shifts and Pay:

• 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm. $19.60/hr
• 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 2 pm - 10:30 pm. $21.56/hr
• 3rd Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 10 pm - 6:30 am. $22.54/hr

Training: 

• The training might take place on a different shift and/or working hours.

Qualifications

• At least 6+ months of recent experience as a Machine Operator in a similar role

• Manufacturing experience preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent years of relevant experience required
• Reliable transportation to Poway (San Diego area)

Job Responsibilities:

• Produce quality products
• Perform set-ups per client requirements
• Inform Shift Supervisor of production and/or quality problems
• Record production results and labor hours
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisors
• Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition
• Adhere to safety regulations
• Familiar with the basic machine functions
• Willing to work mandatory overtime on Saturdays and other scheduled days per business needs

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to bend and stand throughout the shift
• Move and lift up to 25 pounds regularly (and up to 40 pounds occasionally)
• Moderate to heavy physical effort required
• Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, move, pull, push, and move about the facility
• Exposure to metals, lubricants, solvents, electrolytes, and other hazardous materials
• Must be able to work with small parts
• May work at different departments or shifts per production requirements
