What Western Industrial Resources Corporation is Hiring for:

A pipeline Skilled Laborer uses tools and heavy equipment to dig, repair, and maintain the area around pipelines and pump stations. You use both manual and powered tools to service equipment and assist others working on site.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Cleaning and preparing construction sites
  • Loading and unloading materials and equipment
  • Digging trenches, compacting earth and backfilling holes
  • Will assist in the setting up of equipment for the job
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on site
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Experience in an industrial construction environment is a plus.
  • Must pass client’s Operation Qualifications to work.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
  • A positive attitude, self-motivated, eagerness to learn and a willingness to work hard every day.
  • An ability to lead by a positive example and a commitment to working as a team.
  • Attention and commitment to safety and an ability to follow instructions.
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record if assigned to a company vehicle.
  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Working conditions

  • 90% of the position requires traveling to and from jobsites and may include overnight stays. Some employees may be eligible for per diem dependent on distance from home location to job site.
  • Must be able to accommodate customer needs by working flexible hours which may include weekends.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, vibrations and a wet and /or humid environment

Physical requirements

  • Requires walking, sitting, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, grasping, crouching, stooping reaching and repetitive motions to a significant degree.
  • Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
