Posting Close Date:  July 26, 2023 The opportunity Our Coastal GasLink Central Operations team is looking to add an experienced Pipeline Technician in Prince George, BC.  In this role you will operate, maintain, test, and inspect our natural gas pipeline, valves and associated pipeline building assemblies in a manner which meets operational needs in compliance with company and regulatory requirements. 

The successful candidate will provide oversight for and execute our organization’s pipeline operations and maintenance program, damage prevention program as well as provide support to the transfer compressor operation. This individual must be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision, who possesses excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and communication skills. 

Coastal GasLink spans 670 kilometers and will safely deliver natural gas from northeastern B.C. to the LNG Canada facility in Kitimat, B.C. The pipeline route was determined by considering Indigenous, landowner and stakeholder input, the environment, archaeological and cultural values, land use compatibility, safety, constructability and economics. 

The role is overtime eligible and will be part of an on-call rotating schedule in which you will be subject to call-out for emergency response. The regular work schedule will be: - Week 1: Monday to Thursday 9 hours / day; Friday is an 8-hour day - Week 2: Monday to Thursday 9 hours / day; Friday is a Regular Day Off (RDO)
