Jardeg is recruiting Pipefitter Journeypersons for OUTAGE work at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. The Outage is from March 3 to March 13.
Charter flights are provided from Calgary/Edmonton to site! Shift schedules will be Straight through, 12 hours per day with daily overtime. While working on site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facility, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more! We also have new HIGHER rates for all craft workers!
**Required safety tickets and certain weld test costs (if applicable) will be covered.**
Steamfitter – pipefitters lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes. Pipefitters also remove and replace worn components, do general maintenance work and may work on plant shut-downs.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings.
- Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
- Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.
- Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
- Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
- Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition.
- Follow various Heartland and Client policies & procedures including adherence to requirements of ISO 9001-2000.
Minimum Requirements
- Journeyperson Ticket or Apprenticeship card (must be in good standing)
- Valid Drivers License
- Standard First Aid (Level A or C) / Emergency first aid (Level C or A)
- Energy Safety Canada Common Safety Orientation
- Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
- Energy Safety Canada Confined Space & Monitor -
- Energy Safety Canada Wildlife Awareness (includes Bear Awareness)
- Basic Rigging
