What Government of Alberta is Hiring for:

Park Maintenance Workers

Position: Full-Time
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Permanent/Temporary: Seasonal

Locations

  • Cold Lake Provincial Park, Moose Lake Provincial Park, Whitney Lakes Provincial Park, Garner Lake Provincial Park

Classification and Salary:

  • Maintenance Service Worker 1 (MSW1) Park Maintenance Worker 1: $20.14 - $24.22 per hour
  • Maintenance Service Worker 2 (MSW2) Park Maintenance Worker 2: $23.38 - $28.34 per hour

Additional Benefits:

  • In lieu of benefits and vacation, regular wage employees receive 11.2% of regular wage earnings.
  • Shift premium pay: $3.25 per hour for weekends and holidays, $2.75 per hour for evenings.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance and operational tasks supporting day use areas, campgrounds, facilities, and trail systems.

MSW1 Responsibilities: 

  • Lawn maintenance, minor repairs, custodial duties, routine maintenance, trail projects, OH&S compliance, administrative tasks.
MSW2 Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with MSW1 duties, conduct trail maintenance, road maintenance, playground inspections, equipment operation, water system tasks.
Shifts

  • Various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Up to 40 hours per week. Must have good physical stamina.
