Packaging Operator Needed in Santa Teresa ($15.25/HR)

Responsibilities

• Operate plastic strapping machine and shrink gun for packaging.
• Control the finished products in terms of type, qualification, etc. through counting, weighing; to carry them to relevant place and stock up; to ensure them to be in the right package, right quantity and right batch.
• Provide packaging material supply from the warehouse.
• Control the calibration of scales.
• Keep records of the work done and to use relevant computer programs.
• Preform simple maintenance and cleaning of the machinery and equipment.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• To work in accordance with the safety and environmental regulations and policies.

Certificates & Licences

• Occasional use of forklift and pallet jack.

Education

• High school diploma or GED

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing related work preferred.
• Previous experience within the wire industry preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Aptitudes

• Basic computer skills/knowledge preferred.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
