What ResourceMFG is Hiring for:

Overhead Crane Service Technician Assistant/Helper

Location: Houston, TX

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Work Hours: M-F, 7am- 3pm

Pay: $16-19/hr DOE

Duties:

Overhead crane technician helpers travel to customer production facilities to inspect, troubleshoot, repair and modify electric overhead Single/Double Girder Bridge Cranes and related material handling equipment to assist the Service Technician.

Travel/Transportation

Candidate must be willing to travel and work in production environments.

Physical demands/requirements

Work from lifts or service platforms at heights of 40 feet or more
Various industrial environments
Must be able to climb ladders and stand for extended periods of time.

Experience

Experience working as an industrial maintenance mechanic or electrician or have experience troubleshooting three-phase electrical equipment, motors and control centers, and VFDs

Working conditions

Ability to work varied hours, overtime and/or "on call" as needed.
Certificates and Licences
Valid driver's license

Safety/Security

Pre-Employment Drug Screening
Background Check

Clear driving record check as company vehicle is part of the job after company training has been completed.

Knowledge/Skills

Good math skills
Good communication skills.

Knowledge and understanding of structural, mechanical and electrical systems related to overhead bridge cranes is helpful.
Overhead crane technicians helpers should be able to understand and communicate complicated technical issues -strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Personal attributes

Very good attitude
Must be able to work in team environment without supervision.
Observe safety rules and wear required safety equipment while on the job.
