Shop Hand

Location: Fort St. John, BC

Pay: Competitive

Job Description: 

  • Organizing and maintaining the shop and yard
  • Handling freight
  • Performing minor preventative maintenance on tools/equipment
  • Managing material inventory, arranging pickups, and supporting various projects.

Certificates & Licenses

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods, lifting loads up to 40 pounds, etc.)
  • Good hand-eye coordination; ability to operate hand tools and power tools

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills; commitment to safety rules
  • Must be approachable and maintain a positive attitude

Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Must have own transportation as the location is not accessible by public transportation
  • CSA-approved safety boots required
