Another exciting opportunity to join the Viking CIP team serving a long term contract in Northern Alberta.
They're looking for Combo-Vac Operators and Swampers running on a 14 /14 with 12 hour shifts.
Job Details:
- Viking PV (a division to Viking CIP Ltd.) is urgently hiring two Combo-Vac Operators and two Swampers to serve a long-term contract for a client in Northern Alberta.
- This position is required to work a 14 days-on / 14 days-off schedule, 12 hours of per day.
- Travel / flight allowance is provided for travel to/from Edmonton, AB. Company transportation is provided from Edmonton to the client site.
- Camp/accommodations/meals are provided while on scheduled shift.
- This is a physically demanding role, and the successful candidate will be able to comfortably walk, stand, lift (≤50 lbs.), carry (≤50 lbs.), and bend for the duration of their shift.
- The successful candidate must hold a minimum of a class 3 driver’s license (with air brake endorsement). Individuals with class 1 or 2 operators’ licences will also be considered. Ability and experience operating heavy vehicles with an 18-speed manual transmission.
- This position requires loading/unloading fluids/solids via vacuum and steam/pressure cleaning equipment. There is also potential that this position may involve hydro excavation.
- The successful applicant will be hired as an employee (not sub-contractor) and must complete a 3-month probationary period.
Experience / Education:
- 3 years of oil & gas services experience as a vacuum truck, combo-vac, or hydro-vac operator.
- General knowledge of working mechanics (good mechanical instincts).
- Class 3 Operators License (with air brake endorsement) – minimum.
Job Requirements:
- Fixed schedule (14 days-on / 14 days-off)
- Able to work shift work.
- Ability and Willingness to follow safe work procedures at all times.
- Outdoor work in sometimes harsh climate conditions.
- On and off-site safety, including diligent use of PPE at all times.
- Must possess general mechanical aptitude and abilities.
- Worker must be hardworking and dependable.
- Must work well with others/be a team player.
- Must possess a resourceful and self-motivated attitude.
- This is a safety sensitive position and the successful completion of pre-access drug, alcohol, and fitness screening is required.
Mandatory Certifications/Licenses:
- Valid Class 3 driver's license (with air brake endorsement).
- Three (3) year Commercial Drivers Abstract (CDA) demonstrating a safe driving history with no major convictions and no more than three (3) minor convictions.
Highly desirable Certifications/licenses:
- Standard First Aid
- H2S Alive
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Confined Space Entry and Monitor
- Fall Protection
- Aerial/Elevated Work Platform
- Ground Disturbance
Compensation:
- Permanent, Full Time Employment
- $40.15 per hour ($108,500+ per year)
- $1000 hiring incentive
- Overtime payable after 8-hours per day, or 44-hours per week (this position IS NOT currently subject to an averaging agreement and overtime is consistently earned at time and a half [1.5x])
- Travel / Flights allowance to/from Edmonton, AB
