Journeyman or Red Seal Electrician

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia

Pay: $45 per hour plus shift premiums.

Hours: Full Time

• Be available to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons and overnight shifts)
• Must be available to work rotating shifts and some holidays if shutdowns are required

Job Description

• Install and maintain facility and industrial equipment along with electrical and electronic  controls 
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and other repairs to improve facility efficiency
• Preventative maintenance and repairs through the CMMS system
• Testing electrical and electronic equipment and components for serviceability
• Maintenance, repair, testing and installation of electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical equipment
• Installation and maintenance and troubleshooting and calibration of industrial instrumentation and related devices including SSRs, SCRs and VFDs
• Completing paperwork and adhering to safety standards
• Ensuring deadlines are met and that work is completed to schedule and is cost efficient 
• Collaborating with other department/team members when needed 

Certificates & Licences

• Journeyman or Red Seal Electrician ticket preferred 

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience working as an electrician in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in reading electrical  blueprints and schematics and up to date knowledge of  the Canadian Electrical Code
• PLC experience an asset 

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge an asset 
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) 

Pre-employment

• Legally entitled to work in Canada with Canadian working experience
