The Coatings Inspector/Supervisor will oversee the application, maintenance, and inspection of coatings and linings across various equipment and infrastructure in the oil and gas sector. This role is pivotal in preventing premature failures and corrosion, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and specifications, and extending the life of our assets.

• Inspection and Supervision: Conduct thorough inspections of surface preparations and coating applications, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards. Supervise the work performed by coating contractors and personnel.
• Quality Assurance and Control: Implement and maintain strict quality control protocols throughout the coating process. Identify non-conformities and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken to achieve compliance.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, quality control measures, and work activities. Prepare comprehensive reports outlining findings and recommendations.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all coating operations comply with applicable company policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Stay updated on industry best practices and standards related to coatings.
• Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between project teams, coating contractors, and management. Communicate any issues, progress updates, and compliance concerns promptly and clearly.
• Safety Management: Uphold the highest safety standards during all coating operations. Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
• Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to team members on coating application techniques, quality expectations, and safety practices.
• Project Management: Assist in planning and scheduling project activities, ensuring resources are available and timelines are met.

• 10+ years experience in coatings application, inspection, or a related field within the oil and gas industry.
• Certification from NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers), SSPC (Society for Protective Coatings), or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Comprehensive knowledge of coating processes, materials, and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and follow technical specifications and drawings.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications.
• Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
