Offshore Geology Role: Lead Wellsite Geologist - $115.00/hr - Temporary to Permanent in Port Fourchon

Location: Port Fourchon, LA
Pay: $115 per hour
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
Schedule: 

• 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
• Minimum 12 hours per day

Job Description:

• Focuses on project-based work related to reservoir characterization, well engineering, reservoir management, and project management under broad direction.
• Exploits expertise and experience in the specified areas, pursuing innovative approaches and implementing best-practice workflows.
• Sets project objectives, priorities, and milestones.
• Capable of leading project workstreams and actively managing a team with varying levels of competence.
• Supports the use of best practice work processes, project, quality, and commercial management.
• Contributes to multi-disciplinary projects, actively identifies and addresses potential problems, and coaches team members.
• Direct customer contact and involvement in business development activities.
• Initial assignment is 12 months with the possibility of further projects.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Geology

• Knowledge of Pore Pressure Fracture Gradient
• Mudlogging experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Must work well with others at the wellsite
• Strong adherence to safety culture

Experience

• 10 years of E&P experience
