Dozer Operator

Location: Tampa, FL

Job Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)

Shift: 1st Shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate dozers to move and grade earth, rocks, and other materials according to construction plans and specifications.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on dozers to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on the construction site.
• Communicate with project managers and other team members to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Use GPS and other technology to accurately complete grading and leveling tasks.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on dozers as needed.
• Keep records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance for reporting purposes.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and training to stay updated on safety protocols and regulations.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating dozers in a construction or similar setting.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction site safety protocols and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Proficient in using GPS and other technology for grading and leveling tasks.
• Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.

Certificates & Licenses

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time while operating dozers.
• Ability to climb in and out of equipment and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
