Position: Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: Edmonton area

Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various heavy equipment (such as excavators, dozers, backhoes, graders, and skid steers) equipped with 3d GPS, safely and efficiently.
• Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure operational safety and performance.
• Collaborate with the project team to execute earthworks projects according to plan, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Follow and enforce strict safety guidelines and procedures on the job site.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation. Additional certifications for heavy equipment operation preferred.
• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the construction, earthworks, or related industry.
• Experience with 3D GPS is an asset.
• Familiarity with operating a variety of heavy machinery and their maintenance requirements.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and the ability to work in a high-risk environment.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and problem-solving.
• Ability to work 10-12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week.
