What FortisBC is Hiring for:
Journeyman Electrician (First Aid)
Location: Trail, BC
Job Status: Full-Time Temporary
Salary: $51.63 HourlyTemp
Duration: Approx. 12 Months
Responsibilities:
- Construction, installation, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems.
- System switching and manual operation of generating units in Power Generating Operations.
- Perform “Standby” duties when required.
- Assist in training new employees, apprentices, and lower classification employees.
- Act as a designated first aid attendant as assigned.
Qualifications
- Canadian Interprovincial Electrician’s Certificate or Electrical Trades Qualification Certificate.
- Familiarity and experience with electric utility systems, equipment, and protective devices.
- Industrial First Aid Level 3 Certification (must be possessed and maintained).
- Based on operational needs.
- Must adhere to residency requirements.
- May have overtime requirements based on operational needs.
- May have travel requirements based on operational needs.
