What Kiewit is Hiring for:

Graduate Civil Technician

Location: Laval, QC

Pay$29.62 per hour DOE

Position: Entry level, Full-time

Job Details

- Quantity calculations 

- Excavation and backfill
- Road calculation and volume
- Volume of concrete structures
- Drawing: Produce plan views, profile views and sectional views for excavations and roads.
- Occasional field support as a surveyor.

Education

- Diploma: DEC - Diploma of Collegial Studies in Civil Engineering Technology

Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Civil 3D, Trimble, Control Point Network Adjustment and Inroad is an asset.
  • Must be able to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts to perform calculations (surface, volume).
  • Autonomous and able to set standards of excellence in quality and production.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (French and English).
  • Functional knowledge of English (written and verbal) is considered as an asset since mobility across provinces in Canada is required. Lessons can be provided as needed.

Work Conditions
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
  • May work at various different locations and conditions may vary

  • Willing to combine office work with field operations.
