What Trillium Staffing Solutions is Hiring for:

Heavy Rigger 

Location: Norwalk, CT

Job Type: Direct Hire  

Annual Salary: $90,000/year

Work Conditions: 

  • 100% Remote with Extensive Travel to Sites

Position: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications for planning and executing steel structure construction.
  • Operate cranes and heavy machinery for moving steel components using rigging equipment.
  • Use cutting torches and equipment to shape steel components.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure welds and connections meet safety and quality standards.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing appropriate protective gear.
  • Communicate effectively with construction workers and project managers for timely and budget-compliant project completion.

Work Conditions

  • Willing to travel 90% of the time.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience supervising crews of 5-10.
  • Experience in laying out and erecting steel structures.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in rigging equipment up to 100 tons.

Certificates & Licenses
  • Crane Operator License is preferable.
  • Clean driving record.
