Location: Lindenwood, IL

Job Type: Full-time, 1st Shift

Pay: $20+/hr

Schedule: Day Shift

Hours: 

• Monday to Friday
• 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform various types of MIG weld preparation, welding, and finishing operations on Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel
• MIG weld parts such as leg stands, cab shields, engine mounts, light bars, etc.
• Conduct MIG tack welding to hold pieces together prior to finishing welds
• Execute cosmetic MIG welds on finished products, including Straight Line MIG weld, Fillet MIG Weld, in position, and out of position MIG welds
• Utilize conventional and precision measuring instruments
• Conduct process inspection, certification, and documentation
• Maintain welding equipment
• Perform finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards
• Embrace lean philosophy
• Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in assigned welding techniques
• Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirements
• Ability to read blueprints and use a measuring tape
• Knowledge of wire and filler material applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and other materials
• Working knowledge of fixture and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
