Mechanics get $25/hr in OK (Wastewater Plant, Some Experience Required)

We are seeking a Lead Mechanic for assignment in Bixby, Oklahoma. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment associated with water/wastewater treatment plants.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

** This position has a pay rate of $25/hr **

Responsibilities:

- Reads, interprets and works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications and technical illustrations

- Performs skilled repair work on wastewater equipment and instruments

- Inspects, repairs and maintains electrical and/or electro-mechanical operating and control systems, equipment and fixtures

- Inspects, maintains and repairs wiring and lighting systems, electrical control equipment, meters, outlets and panels, as well as motors, pumps and drives

- Installs new equipment

- Interprets oral and written instructions, specifications, wiring diagrams and codes

- Establishes and maintains scheduled electrical and mechanical maintenance program for the plant's equipment

- May repair electrical and electronic instruments

- Exercises independent judgment in solving normal work problems under general supervision of Maintenance Supervisor or Project Manager using standard tools, and special electrical tools and equipment

- Keeps electrical and mechanical maintenance records, prepares labor and material estimates

- Understands the mathematics of electricity and machines 

- Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- 4+ years experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
