What Bergaila is Hiring for:

Seeking a Mechanic for assignment in Fort Lupton, Colorado. The selected candidate will perform skilled mechanical repair work on wastewater treatment plant engines, pumps, and other equipment.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities:

- Maintain equipment in sewage treatment plant: bar screening, grit handling systems, primary and secondary clarifiers, UV disinfection, aeration basins and blowers, gravity belt thickeners, centrifuges, polymer mix systems, associated pumps (positive displacement, centrifugal, chemical, metering)

- Coordinate maintenance activities with operational needs and evaluating maintenance policies and objectives

- Prepare estimates of cost and time for all aspects of maintenance, repair and construction work

- Prepare rough sketches of maintenance, repair and construction jobs

- Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications, and mechanical illustrations

- Diagnose malfunctions and determine effective courses of action for correcting them

- Support assets review and condition assessment efforts

- Gain necessary system knowledge to develop and update thorough capital improvement plans

- Perform heavy manual labor when needed

- Keep records and prepare routine and special reports

- Coordinate work plans and maintenance activities to meet Asset Management priorities

- Develop, implement, and enforce compliance and safety regulations and procedures

- Provide training to less experienced employees

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- 3+ years experience working with pumps and motors

- Electrical troubleshooting experience is highly preferred
