Materials Handler

Location: Brighton, CO

Compensation: $25.00-$35.00/hr (DOE)

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri / 40 hr week

Assignment Duration: 6 months +

SAP Knowledge: Preferred

Positions Available:

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently & safely perform material handling activities, including loading/unloading freight, stacking & moving palletized materials, storing & retrieving materials.
  • Package, label, move, and complete required documentation in response to various distribution instructions.
  • Perform shipping activities, schedule freight carriers, and ensure accuracy and completeness per customer orders.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to address and resolve shipping-related problems.
  • Receive inbound freight and expedited shipments, ensure documents are complete and accurate, distribute documents, and notify recipients per established procedures.
  • Ensure proper data entry into necessary computerized databases.
  • Generate BOM orders from internal customer orders, build/assemble/package kit orders, pull parts, and prioritize activities based on computerized order requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels, resolve allocation & shortage problems.
  • Perform audit, inventory location assignments, cycle counting, and other audit and control activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Perform housekeeping duties.
  • Ensure compliance with safety processes and regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts.
  • Meet standards as communicated by the supervisor.
  • Perform other related duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Demonstrates basic computer data entry skills.
  • Distribution experience similar to packaging/shipping/receiving activities.
  • Ability to perform self-directed work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to interact positively with other employees in a team-oriented environment.
  • Prior history of satisfactory operation of mechanized material handling equipment or willingness and ability to complete and pass training/licensing course within the first week in this classification.
  • Ability to read, understand, and effectively apply information contained in all applicable documents.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of Oil and Gas Industry parts knowledge.
  • Minimum of 2 years Forklift Experience.

Work Conditions

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and any shift as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use a ladder up to 8 hours per day, occasionally up to 12 hours per day.
  • Vision to accurately read all related distribution documents and computer monitor screens.
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
