Masonry Labourer in Calgary, Alberta: $25.00 to $35.00 Per Hour, Monday-Friday + OT As Needed

We are seeking an experienced Mason to join our team. As a Mason, you will work on a variety of projects from new construction to repairs on existing structures. Work will be at various heights, being comfortable on a swing stage and ladders is required. You will work to ensure the project meets all expectations, while maintaining a safe work environment.

This role is full time seasonal.

Responsibilities:

• Construct and repair walls, foundations, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials
• Lay out patterns or foundations according to blueprints or plans
• Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto a surface using a trowel
• Align bricks or stones and finish joints using a variety of tools
• Cut or shape bricks, stones, or blocks using hand tools or power saws
• Repair and restore existing masonry structures

Experience:

• 1+ years of experience as a Mason
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Knowledge of different types of bricks, stones, and other masonry materials
• Comfortable working on ladders and swing stages
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations for Alberta
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Ensure your equipment is in good condition
