Major Installation Project Needs Welders - 4 Weeks On, 3 Weeks Off, 12 Hour Days, Up To $110,000/year with $150 USD LOA

We are hiring experienced Industrial Welders to support to support sawmill installation projects in the United States with installation of major manufacturing systems & equipment.

Projects are 6- 12 month duration. Day and Night Shifts. Minimum 12 hour days. Typical turnaround is 3-4 weeks on, 2-3 weeks off. Annual Journeyman pay on 3 and 3 shifts, 12 hour days is approx $110k. $150.00 USD LOA (paid in Canadian equivalent) for each day worked.

Experience in Industrial Sawmills/Lumber Mills and with industrial mill manufacturing equipment is Mandatory. Familiarity with other trades is expected.

REQUIREMENTS

· Submit ticket with application

· Minimum 2 years experience in industrial sawmill/planer mill

· Minimum 2 years experience with heavy Forestry Systems & Equipment (i.e. Conveyors, Crushers, Stackers, Trimline Systems, Biomass Systems, Planers, Edgers, Hoppers)

· Blue-print reading skills required - with or without drawings

· Excellent communication skills

· Exceptional attention to detail with strong focus on Safety

· Dedicated to quality excellence with a superior work ethic

· Must be able to work unsupervised at times

· Must be drug free **

· Willing to work days, nights, weekends and to travel **

· Current Safety or Training Certificates an asset (i.e., Fall Arrest, Aerial Platform, Forklift Operator)

· Red Seal Ticket an asset

SPECIFICS

· Adhere to all Parallel and Client Safety standards, specifications and governing regulations

· Plan, assemble and install Parallel’s heavy manufacturing equipment.

· Determine welding equipment, methods, techniques and measurements to ensure optimal welds and conformance with designs and specifications

· Have in-depth familiarity with all welding processes, equipment and tools used with structural steel and rotating equipment.

· Identify issues and hazards and troubleshoot accordingly.

· Perform visual examination of work pieces for defects and ensure conformance with specifications.

· Read and interpret blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures
