Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Pecos, TX

Compensation: $27-36.00/hour DOE

Work Schedule: 10/4 rotation, 10+ hours per day

Assignment Duration: 6-12 months +

Responsibilities:

• Perform repair, modification, and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment
• Assist senior mechanics in dismantling and assembling equipment
• Repair and replace parts as needed
• Troubleshoot and repair engine, pump, and compressor systems
• Tune and make adjustments using Caterpillar ET computer program
• Troubleshoot and repair pump and compressor valves
• Maintain knowledge of emission systems and State emissions compliance
• Conduct hot alignment and soft foot adjustments
• Perform root cause failure analysis for mechanical problems

Experience

• 4+ years of Oil & Gas Mechanic experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of oil and gas production operations preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently
• Basic troubleshooting skills for automation and electrical equipment
• Computer proficiency, including MS Windows environment, LOWIS, MAXIMO
• Neat and accurate record-keeping abilities
• Multi-tasking and prioritization skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Technical skills related to math and analytical thinking

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college or technical training preferred

Certificates & Licenses

• Valid Driver’s License with an excellent driving record
