Maintenance Mechanic Millwright

Location: Rocklin, CA

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $40.00 Per Hour

Position: Full-Time

Responsibilities

• The Maintenance Technician will work as a team member in maintaining production line equipment and rolling stock
• Some examples are Loaders and Lift Trucks, PLC, mechanical, electric motors and controls, hydraulic, conveyor and pneumatic equipment
• Performance of preventive maintenance is key, yet able to respond, troubleshoot and repair in a timely manner when needed
• Repair, install and troubleshoot using diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, and employ outside vendors as needed
• Must be able to use hand tools, multimeters, power supplies, and other applicable equipment.
• Minor electrical work, use  of multimeters
• Follow all plant safety practices, procedures, and programs
• Communicate and schedule maintenance with Production and Shipping personnel
• Use of Maintenance Work Order System
• Document work performed, tracking hours
• Identify required parts, supplies coordinate with purchasing
• Rebuild and modify plant systems, individual equipment as needed
• Welding and basic pipefitting
• Safety Awareness and hazard identification, employing corporate procedures
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs as may be needed
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services
• Participate in and complete special projects and other duties as needed
• Typical plant work environment, noise level is moderate to loud
• Must be able to navigate plant site including climbing stairs, reaching for product, traveling over changing terrain
• Exposed to seasonal weather conditions, regularly
• Exposure to soil-less media, occasional dust grease, oil and soil amendments, will occur
• Required PPE includes but is not limited to hardhat, safety vest, steel toe shoes and protective eyewear (may change with the work being performed)
• Using maintenance equipment (hand tools, power tools, industrial vehicles)

Experience

• 2 years minimum of related industrial mechanical experience

Physical Requirements

• Lifting requirements generally under 45-50 lbs
• Must be physically fit and able to safely climb industrial ladders

• Periodically walk, stand, kneel, bend, stretch, lay
