Journeyman Service Electrician

Location: Austin, TX

Pay: $35-$38 per hour

Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Schedule: Monday through Friday

Start Date: ASAP

Experience

• 5+ years of service electrical experience in a commercial setting.

Certificates & Licenses

• A state electrical Journeyman license is required.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with commercial service work.

Job Details

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment by local and national electrical codes.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify electrical issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the safe and efficient completion of projects.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure their reliability and longevity.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and time spent on each project.
• Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

Tools & Equipment

• Must have PPE including steel toe work boots, hard hat, gloves, high visibility vest, and protective eyeglasses.
• Must have standard electrical hand tools.

Pre-employment

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation to the job site.
