Logging Equipment Operator: Fort McMurray, AB $35–$40 an hour (Full-time, Seasonal)
What Centrefire Energy Group is Hiring for:
Taking direction from and reporting to leadership, this position involves activities related to operating the equipment listed below on forestry and oil sands sites. This will entail being responsible for running and maintaining the equipment for daily operations. Operators will also be expected to perform on-site, labor-based activities when not operating equipment. It also requires each team member to work well with others in a safe and efficient manner, understanding the importance of quality and good communication.
The preferred shift is 21 days on, 7 days off and up to 12 hours per day.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Must perform pre and post inspections of equipment.
- Replace worn or old parts.
- Ensure machine has enough fuel to complete job.
- Always be aware of your surroundings.
- Updated on the latest in safety training.
- Clean up landing areas at logging sites.
- Assist other logging and forestry workers.
Certification
- 3 years of experience with Bunchers, Skidders and De limber.
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Physically fit to endure the rigors of full-time fieldwork in all conditions.
- A safe work mindset is required.
- Accountable and dependable
