Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities 

• Oversee, manage, and direct all aspects of a project from start to completion.
• Ensure adherence to Safety, Quality, and Environmental management plans and OCL core values.
• Manage the project schedule and budget, providing regular reporting internally and externally.
• Maintain communication with client representatives on contract issues, schedule, delivery, and technical matters.
• Oversee project scope estimates, including labor, supplies, materials, and other costs.
• Manage materials and tooling required for project execution.
• Drive cost-effective strategies and efficient scope execution in the field.
• Provide oversight for construction worker task assignment and support field foreman.
• Participate in site safety toolbox meetings.
• Coordinate construction services and activities.
• Maintain the construction schedule, making changes as necessary to ensure milestones are met.

Excellent

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy construction project leadership, preferably in the mining and forestry sector.

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of multiple trades disciplines, including mechanical, piping, structural, and plumbing.

• Sound knowledge of computer software such as Navisworks, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, or Primavera.
• Demonstrated background in team leadership with a focus on worksite safety

Experience

• Experience in scheduling and labor budget preparation.
