What Leadstaff is Hiring for:

Pipefitter

Location: San Diego, CA 92113

Pay: Competitive

Position: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Remove, repair, target, lay out, fabricate, and test marine piping systems
  • Work with auxiliary salt water, fire main, potable water, hydraulic, compressed air, fuel, oil, engine exhaust
  • Follow NAVSEA/Military standards and drawings
  • Run lines and leads required for work, conduct drop tests with flammable or oxygen-depleting gases
  • Repair and fabricate using shop equipment (table saws, pipe threading machines, bending machines, drill presses, brazing equipment)

Pre-employment

  • Pass blueprint test and brazing test

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret marine blueprints, drawings, and schematics
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ship repair terminology and ship compartments
  • Comprehensive knowledge of equipment and work processes used in marine pipe fabrication, repair, and targeting

Pre-employment

  • Drug check
