Labourer

Location: Nova - Red Deer 

Project Type: Operations

Project Location: Nova Chemicals Joffre 

Hours: 4/3 Shift  

Shift: Rotational

Accommodations: Local Only

Responsibilities

  • Safety
  • Operating forklift/sea can inspections
  • Operating packaging line/photo eyes, limit switches etc.
  • Shipping receiving
  • Teamwork
  • Must be self- motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must provide excellent punctuality and attendance
  • Perform area audits and follow up on action items
  • Participate in area qualifications

Knowledge & Skills

  • Familiar / knowledgeable with Joffre Site Safety Procedures will be considered an asset
  • Must participate in all safety programs
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, own and others
  • Identify, report and act upon any unsafe condition or action
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and relations with Customer and fellow workersPOSITION REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Forklift experience will be considered an asset
  • Able to meet conditions outlined on the Physical Demands Analysis
  • Achieve 100% completion of mandatory Quinn and client training

Pre-employment

  • Pre-access Drug & Alcohol test

Experience
  • Forklift experience will be considered an asset

    • Certificates & Licences

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Alberta Drivers’ License and meet requirements of Quinn Approved Driver Program
  • Training Required: CSTS 2020, ESC Fall Protection, ESC Confined Space
