Labourer Jobs Hiring NOW for Turnaround Season in Northern BC: $29/hr, Travel & Accommodations Provided

**By applying to this job, you are applying for the Spring 2024 Turnaround. This role would be joining CEDA’s Mobile Workforce which staffs our turnaround events throughout the year.**

Details:

• Start Date: Mid March (exact training dates are being finalized)
• Duration: The project will last approximately 4 to 6 weeks. There is the possibility for redeployment to other projects or full-time work upon project completion
• Shift: 6x1 or 12x2 shifts at 10-12 hours per day, days and nights
• Location: Positions available in the following regions: Fort McMurray, Edmonton, Red Deer, Sarnia, Conklin, and Dawson Creek. 
• Compensation: Hourly rates for folks coming from out of town start at $23.50/hr (travel and accommodations provided). For candidates local to the operating region the hourly rates range from $23.50-$29/hr
• Accommodation and Travel: Provided by CEDA for candidates coming from out of town
• Training: you can build your skill set and equipment knowledge and acquire various industry tickets through CEDA's shutdown training program. 

What you do:

• Work alongside Operators assisting with the operation and maintenance of vacuum trucks, high pressure water equipment and various specialty tools
• Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labour intensive capacity
• Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment – our experienced crew has your back
• Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment
• Ensure safety for all team members and property
• Provide quality services to our clients
• Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
• Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
• Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job done.
• Haul hoses, PPE and tools to where the work is being done
• Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
• Challenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every time

What you bring:

• 1+ years of labour experience in an industrial environment
• Valid CSO certification (or combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional or BSO) is required
• Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications are an asset
• We have great training and your ability to read and write will ensure you meet the testing requirements
• Work shift work (days/nights) of 10 to 12 hours per day
• Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
