Journeyperson Welders Needed (Suncor) Paying up to $57.29/hr on a 14/14
What North American Construction Group is Hiring for:
ACG is seeking an experienced Journeyman (Journeyperson) Welder to join our dynamic and industry leading organization.
Site:Suncor
Schedule:14x14 (rotating days and nights)
Overtime:Provided after 8 hours a day or 44 hours in a week
Hourly Rate:Up to $57.29 per hour
Accommodations:Not provided, $5/hour Living out Allowance
Transportation:Transportation to and from site provided.
Incentives:Boot Allowance, Tool Allowance
The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.
Scope of Work:
Maintenance repair of heavy equipment, Ice lugging and fabrication.
The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.
Responsibilities:
- Fleet repairs including Frame/Dump body repairs, Dozer ice lugging, Pin lancing, Implement rprs and Crack gouging/repairs.
- Fabrication of various items, Numbers, signs, Stands or whatever needed for the Maintenance/Ops groups
- Indoors/Outdoors work as needed
Specific Requirements:
- Heavy Equipment repair experience required (Trucks/Dozers/Shovels/Excavators)
- Trained and experienced with Stick, MIG and large wire-feed welders, radiograph, Cooper-heat, Plasma cutter, Lance, overhead and/or mobile truck cranes as well as other tools of the trade
Qualifications:
- Red Seal/Alberta Journeyman (Journeyperson) Welder
Summary:
All successful candidates must:
- Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
- Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Have experience as requested as mentioned above
- Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
- Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
- Breath Alcohol Test
- Urine Drug Test
- Fitness-to-Work Assessment
- Audiometric Testing
- Vision Screening
- Criminal Record Check
Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.
All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
- CSO or BSO Certification
- Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
- VOID cheque/direct deposit form
- Silica Awareness
Once dispatched the following processes will occur:
- Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
- An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
- After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.
Please note the entire On-boarding process can take anywhere from 3-8 business days.
