What FLINT is Hiring for:

FLINT is looking for Journeyperson Insulators for an upcoming turnaround! This Turnaround is for CNRL Horizon in Fort McMurray, with pre-work starting in April 2024 and Turnaround running from May 15th until the end of June.

It is a fly-in, fly-out (from Edmonton or Calgary) or local role, working a 7 on 7 off rotation for pre-work. This role will then move into the client's turnaround, where the shift will be a 6 on 1 off. These are 11.5-day shifts working on an averaging arrangement.

What would you be doing?

Insulation removal
Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select the type of insulation required 
Measuring and cutting insulating material to required dimensions using hand and power tools 
Applying and securing insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods 
Fitting insulation around obstructions and between studs and joists 
Installation of vapor barriers 
Fabricate metal sheets and apply insulating materials to finish surfaces

Does this sound like you?

Have your recognized trade certificate or proof of hours
Have valid up to date safety tickets: CSO, Fall Protection, H2S Alive
Ability to work day and night shifts
Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc
