What Polar Power LTD is Hiring for:

We are looking for a Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for wiring, installation, and repair of electrical systems and components, as well as reading blueprints and schematics. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, safety-minded, and has excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components.
  • Work with automation controls and positioning devices (Photo eyes, Proximity sensors, Temposonics and servo valves).
  • Troubleshoot PLC's (basic familiarity with Allen Bradley 5, 500 and 5000 is considered an asset)
  • Joint work with millwrights and mechanical to troubleshoot process control and productivity.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
  • Test electrical systems and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
