Journeyman Welder in Hinton, AB: $65.00/hr, 12hr Shifts, $1000-$2000/mth Bonus, Health Benefits, Dental, PTO & RRSP

Based in Hinton, Alberta, our coal mining operation is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Journeyman Welder. The candidate must be self-motivated, have good communication and good organizational skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform Welding maintenance and repair work on various makes and models of large mining equipment, in the mining environment.
• Perform equipment maintenance according to standards, procedures, and practices.
• Communicate updates to supervisor to ensure goals are met.
• Maintain clean work area in shop or on job site.
• Assist other shop employees with repairs and duties.
• Ensure quality, efficient, and safe completion of all repairs.

Education/ Skill Requirements:

• Red Seal Journeyman Welder
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience
• Valid Driver’s License

Physical/Mental Demands:

Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, taste, and smell.

Extremely Competitive Compensation Package:

• Base Rate: $65.00/ hr
• Tooling Allowance: $300 / month
• Overtime: 2hr Per shift
• Overtime on non-scheduled days: to be paid 2x the employee’s regular wage.
• Daily Bonus: up to $3.00 / hr (based on daily production)
• Safety Bonus: up to $1.00 / hr
• Market Bonus: $1000 to $2000 per month (paid out twice annually, dependent and based on market conditions)
• Dual tickets incentive: $2.00 / hr (Must be dual ticketed HET, Welder, and/or Electrician)
