Journeyman Pipefitters - Turnaround ($46.00 Per Hour)

We currently have a turnaround active and running and we are looking for JM Pipefitters to go to site ASAP. This site is at Christina Lake, Alberta

• WHEN: ASAP after drug test and orientation paperwork is complete
• TENURE: 3 weeks - we will have other jobs throughout the spring, summer and fall.
• SHIFT: Day and Night 12 hour shifts - OT After 8
• A&D Test - 12 Panel Lad (Company Paid)

Roles and Responsibilities:

The pipefitter is a ticketed journeyman pipefitter with 4+ years’ experience in oil and gas facility operations. The craftsman is a turnaround support position. This position requires workers to wear specialized personal protective equipment, use various hand and power tools and other equipment. During onsite activities, the pipefitter will be required to perform QA/QC inspections of completed work.

• Install and remove blanks, blinds, valves, and various piping systems is required
• Responsible for coaching, mentoring and leading a small crew of laborers or wrenchers
• Stand, sit, crouch and kneel for extended periods of time
• Remove, handle, position and install PVS’s at various locations including from scaffold / man basket / AWP
• Follow directions accurately, attention to detail
• Actively participate in safety meetings, tool box meetings, permit and hazard assessment reviews. Prepare hazard assessments as appropriate.
• Complete required inspection records for PPE and equipment

Qualification/ Experience Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience with industrial cleaning or oil and gas operations – turnaround experience required
• Ticketed Journeyman Pipefitter
• Able to lift and carry up to 45 Kg
• Extensive knowledge of:
• Industrial hygiene

Ticket Requirements:

• H2S - Energy Safety Canada
• CSTS or EGSO
• Fall Protection
• First Aid/ AED – 2 day course
