 CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Location: Tuscaloosa, AL

Pay Rate: $21.42 - $28.42 per hour, DOE

Shift Schedule: 

• Train on 1st shift for 6 months and then move to 2nd/night shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate turning and basic machine tools safely and per standards
• Review engineering drawings before manufacturing operations
• Read prints to determine layout and equipment set-up according to prints
• Maintain effective working relations with co-workers
• Complete work in a safe, productive, and efficient manner
• Conduct operator inspections
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Participate in company-sponsored programs (QS, 5S, Production Boards, Continuous Improvement Team, Safety, etc.)
• Work in other areas of production as required
• Notify supervision of machinery issues and order replacement parts and supplies
• Support and follow all company rules, procedures, and daily standard work
• Complete projects or tasks assigned by Area Manager, Area Supervisor, Operations Manager, or General Manager

Experience:

• MTT and/or CNC certifications
• Vertical Turret Lathes and CNC Milling/Drilling machine experience is a plus
• Highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to work on multiple projects

• Basic understanding of heat exchanger terminology
• Fundamentals of manufacturing processes and safety
• Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts
• Strong interpersonal and team communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Problem-solving skills
