What SaskPower is Hiring for:

Powerline Technician (Distribution District) 

Location: PRINCE ALBERT, SK, CA

Type: Permanent - Full Time

Pay: Competitive

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain, inspect, install, and repair lines, substations, apparatus, and services.
  • Perform live line methods and inspections for transmission lines.
  • Diagnose overhead and underground line faults and conduct required tests.
  • Investigate electrical interference complaints and recommend actions.
  • Interpret and implement engineering plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Inspect construction and maintenance projects, ensuring quality standards.
  • Respond to customer complaints, trouble calls, and power quality issues.
  • Read meters and maintain accurate records associated with the position.

Certificates & Licenses

  • Interprovincial Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate or equivalent.
  • Competent in performing power line work at the journeyed level.
  • Valid Class 1A driver’s license.

Work Conditions

  • Physical capability to meet job requirements.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pre-employment

  • Drug check
  • Background screening
