What PCL Energy is Hiring for:

Tower Crane Rigger

Location: Kelowna, BC

Wages: $30/hr-$40/hr

Start of Project: January 2024

Duration of Project: Approximately 1 year

Shift: 

  • Monday-Friday 
  • 7:00 am - 3:30 pm 
  • Overtime, weekends, and after-hours may be required)

Qualifications:

  • Formal training in Safe Rigging Practices
  • Compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
  • Competency in rigging various lifts
  • Provisional Tower Crane Operator designation considered an asset

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely rig various lifts for a tower crane
  • Work closely with the operator to move material and equipment around an active construction site with public interface
  • Assist crane operator in routine crane inspections and maintenance (cleaning and lubricating)
  • Provide accurate information for calculating lifting capacities
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills; good radio etiquette is mandatory
  • Proficient knowledge of construction, erection, and installation of wood and engineered formwork systems for decks, columns, walls, and structural steel
  • Willingness to perform general labor tasks as required
