Dozer Operator 

Location: Newark, California 

Job Status: Hourly Full Time 

Job Type: Full Time 

Shift Available: 12 hours 2nd shift 

Compensation: $31.25/hr

Principal Accountabilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, loader, bulldozer, articulated dump truck, etc.
• Operate dozer on all levels of a stack of salt, prepare salt stack, make salt cuts to control feeding of salt
• Complete daily reports of salt movement, use register charts, and complete crude salt log
• Inspect, operate, and monitor various equipment including conveyor belts, salt boxes, diverter chute boxes, hoppers, scale equipment, magnet, dozer, and electrical cords
• Perform daily maintenance tasks such as fueling, greasing, lubricating, and washing equipment
• Maintain clean salt and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

• Basic computer skills and ability to perform basic arithmetic

Physical Requirements

• Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 50lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, etc.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with the use of personal protective equipment

• Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  

Work Conditions

• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience

Experience

• Experience operating mobile equipment and/or similar equipment
• Experience with road grading techniques
• Experience in light equipment maintenance (lubing, greasing, washing)

Pre-employment

• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Minimum 18 years of age
