Park Maintenance Worker 1 (Maintenance Service Worker 1)

Location: Cypress Hills Provincial Park (Elkwater) or Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park/ Aisinai’pi, AB

Salary: $20.14 - $24.22 per hour

Job Type: Wage, Seasonal

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform landscaping, building cleaning, and site servicing of campgrounds, day-use areas, and facilities.
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment.
• Collect garbage and recycling, assist with cleaning park facilities, and operate equipment.
• Contribute to trail maintenance, beach and dock maintenance, installation and maintenance of signage.
• Report maintenance concerns to the supervisor and assist with hazard tree and invasive plant management programs.
• Practice Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense claims, and online courses.

Physical Requirements

• Good physical stamina for manual duties outdoors in various weather conditions.

Work Conditions

• Ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
