Job Opening: Pipe Fitter Welder or Combo Welder - $28.00 Per Hour

Pipe Welder

Location: Shreveport, LA

Pay: $28 per hour

Position: Full time

Responsibilities:

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Operate safety equipment and follow safe work habits.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
• Demonstrate active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, speaking, and time management skills.
• Perform welding tasks using SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) with or without backing uphill.
• Conduct GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) uphill evaluations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter Welder or Combo Welder.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in welding techniques for stainless steel, carbon steel, and steel materials.
• Ability to pass a Section 9 Pipe Weld Test.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Certificates & Licenses

• Valid welding certifications (preferred).
