Rolling Mill Operator 

Location: Calgary, AB

Pay: Competitive + OT Opportunities

Position: Full-time, permanent 

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and maintaining warehouse equipment and machinery
• Prepare, set up, and operate metalworking machinery or equipment. 
• Operate machinery or equipment to cut, bend, or crease metal parts. 
• Inspect products for conformity to shape, size, or other standards. 
• Investigate the cause of problems and make minor repairs. 
• Clean and lubricate machinery and replace defective parts as needs 
• Setting up manufacturing equipment
• Read and/or follow verbal instructions. 
• Completes daily housekeeping in assigned area. 
• Completes daily inspections of machinery  
• Ensures quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing product. 

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanically inclined and able to perform general maintenance on equipment
  
• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly and effectively 

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong commitment to safety

Experience

• Rigging and Overhead Crane experience an asset

• Previous work experience as a machine or equipment operator 

Certificates & Licences

• Forklift certification an asset
• Ability to use measurement tools

• Familiarity with Rolling Mill/Rolling Form machine an asset

Tools & Equipment

• Must have own transportation as location is not accessible with public transportation.
• Must have CSA approved safety boots.
• Overtime required as needed
