Facilities and Safety Coordinator

Location: Foothill Ranch, CA

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Position: Full time

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct safety observation reports on a regular basis of designated areas
• Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation
• Complete daily activity reports (DAR) and required documentation for all incidents
• Ensure all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing buildings (ID badges and passes)
• Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy
• Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have
• Maintain documentation of the company’s safety procedures, accidents and related events
• Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace
• Monitoring office inventory and ordering supplies
• Running errands and making deliveries to external parties
• Enforcing compliance with health and safety protocols
•  Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities
•  Clean windows and glass doors as needed
•  Change of all filters for HVAC as required
•  Remove and properly dispose of all recyclable materials
• Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed
•  Make ready all offices, common areas, and lobby as needed
•  Maintain exterior property, trash removes and general appearance
•  Assist with all installs/removals
•  Oversee daily trash removal, restocking/cleaning restrooms, sweeping/mopping/vacuuming, cleaning/disinfecting tables and counters, cleaning exterior entryway/cigarette receptacles, graffiti removal, cleaning/polishing/floor, cleaning/disinfecting community surfaces (handrails, vending machines, etc.)
•  Assisting facilities technicians as needed
• Making logistical arrangements for meetings, conferences or events
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned
•  Must be able to work flexible hours including overtime

Education  

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Experience

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Previous safety/facilities related work experience preferred

Pre-employment

• Ability to pass a background check

• Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations
  
• Proficient written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service oriented

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed
• Able to lift 70 pounds
