Mechanic II

Location: 8927 Andrews Hwy, Odessa, TX 79765, USA

• Basic hand tools and either tool chest or rollaway required

Outline of Duties:

1. Unit Disassembly
2. Unit Cleanup and Inspection
3. Labor and Parts Quotation
4. Unit Assembly
5. Prepare Unit for Shipment

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly or heavy equipment repairs and maintenance

Eligibility Requirements:

• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
• Physical ability to perform various tasks, including lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to travel within the US to work at customer locations or other Cooper facilities as needed
• Possession of a valid driver’s license

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Operations/service center operation applications or minimum 5 years of total relevant operation experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of existing drilling and production surface wellhead equipment, frac equipment, and rental tools
• Ability to work un-directed per engineering specifications and inspect own work for integrity and quality
• Familiarity with tools and previous manufacturing/shop service center operations experience
