Yard Labourer (Temporary)

Location: Nisku, AB, Canada

Job Type: Temporary

Duration: Expected end date of March 29, 2024.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Unloading pipe from trucks and/or rail cars
• Loading pipe onto trucks and/or rail cars
• Storage of pipe, including tiering-up on storage racks
• Maintaining storage racks and storage areas under the direction of the Yard Foreman
• Guiding loaders and operators using hand signals
• Inspecting pipe & threads
• May be assigned the responsibility of Designated Labourer, which includes supervising the activities of the work team
• Following all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures, and safety requirements
• Participating in training programs as required

Education

• Partial high school education with the ability to read, write, and speak a minimum amount of English to perform job duties

Experience

• No work experience required

Skills & Aptitudes

• Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures

Physical Requirements

• Yard environment, working outdoors
• Possibility of exposure to dust, fumes, or gases and changes of temperature/humidity
• Physical requirements include squatting, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 23 kilograms, reaching, twisting, climbing, walking on rough ground, and working near moving equipment

• Required to wear proper protective clothing and equipment at all times and perform duties in a safe manner
